Comments of the jury:

- The concept evolves around the valid and pragmatic concept of city re-use. It is feasible though the innovative thinking at its basis would need acceptance. It is an innovative thinking integrated into a territory and traditional setting. The analysis is comprehensive starting at the macro, meso and micro scale although considerable focus is put on the macro scale. The use of structures which recall the fortress typology could have psychological impact on population which is already affected by potential trauma. the closure of each petal of the Jerico rose may confine the communities rather than inspiring them to open up and be inclusive of others.

- Clever solution for water supply but -architecture under the high tech dome is archaic.

- Interesting use of innovative materials and water collection, but the refugees are very isolated from outside social interactions.
