Comments of the jury:

​

- The project is very comprehensive and build on evident extensive research in loco to determine the potential of the area. It is very sensitive in maintaining the existing characteristic of the site while adjusting to the need of the new community. The project carefully describes it evolution at macro, meso and micro scale and it shows a consideration of the community in planning, implementing and participating throughout. While ensuring that spatial allocation is carefully designed based on population needs and functions the project adopts a general environmental approach which may reduce the effects of the climate changes overtime but also adequately use the potential of the green area existing. Overall the projects offer a minimalistic approach to architecture using alternative materials, volunteering of communities and active participation of individuals. IT invites to people to the dialogue. It is indeed an extremely sensitive and comprehensive projects.

- Exciting proposal to salvage a failed camp through environmental cleanup but - needs to consider infrastructure beyond roads.

​

- Interesting question to ask how to rehabilitate a failed camp into a future permanent city, but the execution isn't especially creative.
