Comments of the jury:

- Comprehensive and sustainable project which integrate the spatial planning with socio-economic perspective and offers opportunities for the community at larger scale. The presentation is very good and the creativity is expressed in a very scientific manner which substantiate the planning mile stones. It is based on urban planning to “revive economic and ecological growth”.  It uses urban empty areas to accommodate urban settlements catering for refugees and other population hence its feasibility is evident provided that adequate legislation accompanies the project. It is inspired by “breaking the isolation” of refugees through adequate spatial planning and distribution of functions. Overall the project is creative and well describe the various cycles in the “city” planning. The macro scale is very well articulated and represented in a very clear manner, easy to understand and absorb also for non-practitioners – creating synergies between landscapes and communities.

- A win for environmental remediation and plan suggests strong host-refugee integration but - text does not say much about quality or character of urban life.

- Unique and creative reuse of post industrial landscapes.
